Pretty in Pink

✨ Episode Overview

In this episode of Who We Become — Life Beyond Change, Amanda sits down with Becky Horn, Executive Director of Pretty in Pink Foundation, to explore financial toxicity, survivorship, dignity, and what real support looks like during breast cancer treatment.

Together, they talk about the impossible decisions many women face after diagnosis — choosing between food and chemo, stretching out treatment because of cost, or having surgery canceled due to inability to pay. Becky shares how Pretty in Pink steps into those gaps, removing financial barriers so patients can focus on healing instead of survival math.

This conversation is for anyone who:

  • Is newly diagnosed

  • Is a caregiver trying to hold everything together

  • Has worried about the cost of treatment

  • Wants to understand what meaningful community support looks like

  • Feels overwhelmed by the practical realities of cancer

This episode reminds us that survival shouldn’t depend on income — and that dignity matters in the middle of crisis.
