Who We Become — Guest Application
Apply to Be a Guest on Who We Become
Your story belongs here.
This is a space for the part of the story that comes after the storm — the identity shift, the in-between, the quiet work of rebuilding. If you've lived it, there's room for your voice here.
Why this matters
"I couldn't find a space that talked honestly about the in-between — the identity shift, the disorientation, the rebuilding. So I created one. That's Who We Become."
Every guest on this podcast has walked through something that changed them. Not just survived — but been changed. The conversations here don't follow a clean recovery arc. They go to the honest, complicated, sometimes disorienting places that most people don't talk about out loud.
If you have a story like that, I'd be honored to hold space for it.
This space is for you if…
You've been through something that reshaped who you are.
The "after" looks different for everyone. These are the kinds of stories we explore together:
Illness or caregiving
Surviving treatment — and then figuring out who you are now.
Grief and loss
Holding grief alongside a life that's still asking you to keep going.
Identity shifts
The disorientation of not recognizing yourself anymore.
Reinvention
Rebuilding a self — and a life — that fits who you're becoming.
Healing journeys
Non-linear, messy, and real — not the clean version.
Life after major change
When the calendar empties and you're still standing there.
Also welcome here
We also feature advocates, clinicians, authors, and changemakers whose work lives inside these conversations — people who have turned lived experience into a vocation, a platform, or a mission. If that's you, there's a seat at this table too.
Publicists & Advocates
Pitching on someone else's behalf? You're welcome here.
If you're a publicist, manager, or advocate submitting on behalf of a client, please complete the form as if you were them — share their story in their voice as best you can. I read every submission personally and will follow up with you directly. Include your contact details in the final field.
What makes a strong conversation
Not a perfect story — an honest one.
There's no polished narrative required. What matters is willingness to go beyond the timeline of events and into what it actually felt like — who you were before, and who you're becoming now.
A moment that divided your life into before and after.
Willingness to explore identity, not just recount events.
You're in a place where sharing publicly feels right — not forced.
You want someone out there to feel a little less alone.
What to expect
From submission to episode — what the process looks like.
Submit your story
Fill out the form below. I read every submission personally. This isn't a form letter process — I'm genuinely reading what you share.
I'll be in touch within 7–10 days
If your story is a fit, I'll reach out to schedule a brief conversation before we record — no pressure, no pitch, just a chance to connect.
If it's not the right moment, I'll let you know. No one gets left wondering. Either way, thank you for trusting me with your story.
Recording — remote, 30–45 minutes
You'll receive a simple prep guide and conversation flow beforehand so nothing feels like a surprise. The conversation itself is relaxed and unhurried.
Your episode goes out into the world
Your episode is distributed to Spotify and Apple Podcasts and promoted to our weekly email list and on Instagram. You'll receive your air date, a set of shareable assets, and short clips you can use in your own channels.
Guests are encouraged to share their book, platform, or advocacy work — your links will be included in the show notes and all promotional posts. Your story will reach people in the after, still figuring out who they're becoming.
