Casey Kang After Survival: Who You Become When Life Doesn’t Go Back to Normal

Casey Kang

✨ Episode Overview

In this episode of Who We Become — Life Beyond Change, Amanda sits down with Casey Kang to explore resilience, survivorship, and rebuilding identity after cancer.

Together, they talk about the shock of an unexpected leukemia diagnosis, the physical and emotional toll of treatment and relapse, and how survivorship can feel just as isolating as the illness itself. Casey shares what it really looks like to move beyond survival—and how she transformed her pain into purpose through her work with The Happier Hustle.

This conversation is for anyone who is rebuilding after a life-altering experience, feeling lost after “getting through it,” or searching for a way to feel like themselves again.

👤 Meet Our Guest: Casey Kang

Casey Kang is the creator of The Happier Hustle, a platform dedicated to helping cancer survivors move from surviving to truly thriving.

After being diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at 31, Casey endured intensive chemotherapy, a stroke, seizures, and a long road of recovery. Her journey forced her to rebuild not only her physical strength, but her identity, sense of safety, and purpose.

Through her experience, she’s learned that healing doesn’t end when treatment does—and that true recovery requires intentional investment in your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Today, she helps others find their version of a “new normal” and reclaim joy in their lives.
